Today at Young Chefs Academy the children and teachers learned many important things. It is very important to have clean hands anytime you are dealing with food or cooking utensils. Measuring ingredients the correct way helps recipes turn out the best! Did you know that YEAST is a living thing and it is what causes bread to rise? It was fun learning about what different ingredients are used for, and how they make the food we eat taste better. During our visit we learned to make the best soft pretzels. We even had the opportunity to coat them with butter, sugar, and cinnamon. talk about yummy!! Karewest was very satisfied and happy with this trip.
